Our story & purpose

Raised in our home, with a purpose.

RGV Doodles began with one family-raised litter and a desire to raise these puppies with the same care and attention we give our own pets. We are not a large commercial breeding operation.

Our goal is to raise healthy, well-socialized puppies and place them with loving, responsible families. We value transparency about parent DNA, veterinary care, development, and what we can—and cannot—predict as each puppy grows.

All net proceeds from this litter will help support missions by assisting our son in his missionary work in Honduras, where he serves underprivileged women and children.

Both parents have Embark DNA documentation, giving prospective families a clearer picture of the puppies’ ancestry.

Annie is a small 17–18 lb companion dog and a beloved member of our family. Her Embark DNA results show about 80% Small Poodle, with additional Pekingese, Maltese, and other ancestry. She has extensive Embark genetic health and trait testing. Annie is non-shedding.

Our puppies grow up around normal family life rather than in a commercial kennel environment.

Daily handling

Each puppy receives regular individual handling and attention as they grow and become more aware of the world around them.

We have tracked their growth from birth and pay close attention to nursing, weight gain, feeding transitions, and development.

With mom & littermates

They remain with Annie and one another during this important developmental period while gradually learning to eat puppy food and explore.

Normal household life

As age appropriate, they experience people, household activity, sounds, surfaces, toys, and gentle new experiences.

We want each puppy matched with a permanent home that understands the commitment involved in bringing home a young dog.

Coat & grooming expectations

Both Annie and Max are non-shedding. Based on the parents and the puppies’ developing coats, we expect the puppies to shed very little or possibly not at all. Their coats will almost certainly require regular brushing and professional grooming. No dog can be guaranteed hypoallergenic.

Optional individual Embark testing

After a puppy has a deposit, the family may request Embark DNA Health + Breed testing for an additional $140. We cannot guarantee the test results. If the report identifies a serious genetic health issue, the puppy deposit will be refundable; the $140 DNA testing cost is nonrefundable.

Going home

Ready for a great start.

The puppies turn eight weeks old on September 24, 2026, and we expect them to be available to approved families around that time, assuming each puppy is developmentally ready.

Microchipped

Each puppy will go home microchipped, with the available microchip information for the new family.

Veterinary records

We’ll provide applicable health, age-appropriate vaccination, and deworming information.

4.5-lb starter bag of food

Each puppy will go home with a 4.5-lb bag of the food we use: Hill’s Science Diet Puppy Small Breed & Mini Breed Chicken Meal & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food.

Parent information

Copies of available parent testing documentation can be shared with puppy families upon request.

Feeding & care information

We’ll share the puppy’s current feeding routine and practical transition information for the first days at home.

Optional Embark test

What kind of puppies are they?

We refer to this litter as multigenerational Mini Goldendoodle puppies. For complete information about Annie and Max, including their ancestry and testing, see the Meet the Parents section above. Exact individual breed percentages for each puppy are not guaranteed.

How big are they expected to be?

Annie is about 17–18 lb and Max is about 28 lb. Their puppies may mature somewhere around the small-to-medium companion range, but adult size can vary and is not guaranteed.

What will their coats be like?

Based on how their coats are developing now, Abby, Belle, and Charlie look most likely to mature curly to wavy, while Bailey and Cooper look most likely to be wavy. Abby is currently the curliest puppy in the litter. Both parents are non-shedding, so we expect the puppies to shed very little or possibly not at all. These coats will almost certainly need regular brushing and professional grooming.

When can they go home?

The puppies were born July 30, 2026 and turn eight weeks old on September 24, 2026. We expect them to be available to approved families around that time, after age-appropriate care and once each puppy is developmentally ready.
